ACDowd Designs is a design studio in Sonoma County, California owned by Angela Dowd. Angela's work focuses on information design and instructional design in addition to traditional graphic design and illustration. The principles of design and product development were the foundation of Angela's Industrial Design major at San Francisco State University. Her web design training was completed at Santa Rosa Junior College in Sonoma County, California. Angela is currently completing her MA.ed in Instructional Technologies at San Francisco State University (SFSU). The focus of her studies at SFSU is designing instructional materials and training that are engaging, easy to use and accessible. She is actively seeking an internship in instructional design. ACDowd Designs has designed training manuals for the Saltwater Institute, (formerly in Kennebunk Maine), and for David Lukoff, Ph.D. Angela worked on Dr. Lukoff's first online Continuing Education course called Navigating the Mental Health Internet. She currently creates promotional materials for clients for both print and web use.

Some of these encounters have opened doors while others have left us feeling frustrated and shut out. As a an instructional designer I want to understand why this happens and consciously look for better solutions."
